There is a minimalist cabin. This car is different when you see the interior. There is no key. There is an RFID card. Or, you can access the car with your smartphone.
If you waft the card up and down the B-pillar, you would find the secret spot and then you would have to repeat the process inside on the center console before the car would set off. This is like a backward step from the traditional keyless fob of the Model S. but it can be circled if you place your pre-configured phone in the correct cradle. Owners will quickly adapt to this feature.
This is a spacious cabin. The windscreen is panoramic. The scuttle is low. This means that the view forwards is clear and powerful. This is so even if you don’t sit at a high position. There is a full-length glass sunroof. It is bright and airy inside. The floor is flat. There is a pair of roller-knobs on the steering wheel. There are 4 window switches on the door. There is an electric backrest. There are squab adjusters. Everything is uncluttered. It is attractive and you will like regulating everything from a touchscreen.
The 15.0-inch screen is sharp as a pin. It has a high resolution. It is logical. You have to learn its intricacies first.
Below the screen, there is a slot for wireless charging of the phone. A tall person can sit comfortably in the rear middle seat. There is a smartly designed center console armrest with space. People at the back will see that their heads are close to the panoramic roof.
There are thin chromed door handles. You can tap at one end and the rest of the handle to open it manually. They open from the inside in a different way. There is a simple door switch that is like an electric window button.
The quality is good. It is quite different from the ageing Model S. The users will find it nice because of the trim and materials used. It is slush-molded and soft-feel materials are used.
Standards are high in this car. It is different from the finely built cabin of the BMW 4.
Driving experience

The experience is similar to what is like driving a Tesla Model S. The Model 3 is silent and fast. Driving flat-out is not good for the battery range. The design of the car is rigid. Quick steering in this car is a sharp agility. You can customize the steering weight to your personal choice. European styles are mostly in the Track Mode. It is the right size for the UK. It is a good compact shape that is not huge. It has good agility overall. But it has a lack of character as compared to cars like the BMW i4.
It gives amazing acceleration which a single-motor standard car is capable of. The Dual Motor versions are quicker. There is a lot of traction in them.
There are some ergonomic difficulties. The windscreen A-pillars are very thick. The steering wheel is hefty to hold. There is a shroud around the forward-facing camera at the top of the windscreen. It masks the view when we look in the rear-view mirror.
Autopilot function

It works nicely. With every software update, the function becomes more instinctive and it can deal with busy situations. You cannot drive hands-off. If you are off the wheel for more than 20 seconds, there would be transgressions and the Autopilot system gets deactivated.
For Autopilot, you need to tap the transmission selector down twice. And then rest your hands on the wheel. When you have to change lanes, you can tap the indicator and wait for the car to help you across the lanes. For Auto-piloting on UK motorways, the system is designed to relax the driver. The input is lesser but you also have to maintain full alertness on the road ahead.
New drivers will take time to adapt to its intricacies.
